​ASF International is a global network of non-profit organizations committed to a sustainable built environment, a healthy environment, social equality and care for cultural and built heritage.

 

Origin and Growth

The network was founded in 2007 in Hasselt, with a charter around which the national ASF departments were united. What started as a modest partnership has now grown into a global network with more than 30 national ASF departments and related organizations. Members increasingly come from Asia and Africa, with strong representation from India, Nepal and Indonesia.

Core activities

The network ensures communication and knowledge exchange between members, and provides training and workshops worldwide. In addition, ASF-International is the spokesperson for all ASF departments at international forums and at multinational organizations such as UNHABITAT.
